Abstract:
This article describes the transferability of task-centered casework to group-work in Hong Kong. While task-centered casework helps individual clients to solve their personal problems, its short intervention period may limit the development of intensive social support and treatment in groups. The article summarizes social workers’ experiences in reconciling this conflict.
