Abstract:
Roburic acid was isolated from the roots of Gentiana macrophylla.
All the presented 8 species of Section Cruciata were checked to have roburic acid whereas other Sections or genera not by HPTLC method.
Roburic acid could be served as chemtaxonomic marker for Gentiana species in Section Cruciata.
