The co-dissolving method was employed to prepare the spinning solution. The prepared fiberts had a diameter of 145 plusmn 17 mum. SEM images showed that the libers had a uniform and homogeneous structure with some nano drug particles aggregated on the fiber surface. X-ray diffraction analysis result suggested that ibuprofen existed in the fibers in an amorphous status. FTIR analysis result demonstrated the polymers and the drug had fine compatibility. The drug content in the fibers was found to be a little lower than that in the spinning liquid, 10.2% of the drug was lost during the spinning processes. In vitro dissolution tests indicated that composite medicated fibers had better release profiles than PAN medicated fibers, 84.2% of the incorporated ibuprofen was linearly released out during a time periods of 15 days. |
