This presentation will provide an overview of policies and practices related to support to informal caregivers of frail older people and persons with disabilities in Hong Kong. We will highlight the recommendations of the Consultancy Study on Caregiver Support and review the degree of adoption of the recommendations by the government. We will also examine the responses and initiatives undertaken by the welfare sector and the charity foundations towards caregiver support. Lastly, we will identify service gaps and propose some directions for future development of caregiver support.-
