dc.description.abstractAn important element in the dynamic analysis of structures is the computation of their natural frequencies and modes. For complex systems, this inevitably requires automatic computation so that an accurate and reliable algorithm is essential. In this paper, a method in which subspace iteration is utilized in conjunction with a frequency dependent mass and stiffness formulation is described and applied to framed structures.en_US
