dc.description.abstract | Mobile IP is primarily based on separating session identifier from route locator to support mobility and is comparable to Host Identity Protocol and Locator ID Separation Protocol defined in IETF. One important difference causing a major weakness in MIP is in routing via a centralized anchor point. Overcoming this drawback in the ongoing work in distributed mobility management may result in a good quality mobility management standard suitable for deployment. An architecture unifying different alternatives of distributed mobility management designs using MIP is presented. | en_US |
